About M. Tahleel Shah
Tahleel Shah is the Course President of Quintessence IAS, and for ten years he has been one of the most sought-after Economy and S&T educators in the civil services space. More than a lakh aspirants across India have learned from him, and many have gone on to careers in public service.
Before Quintessence, he taught at Drishti IAS, Edukemy and ALS, some of the biggest names in UPSC preparation. He is also one of the few educators who have consistently opened the doors of the central services to students from Kashmir, helping talent from the region compete and succeed at the national level.
The UPSC module at Quintessence is his own design. He built it around activity-based learning, because students understand concepts better, and hold on to them longer, when they work with them instead of just reading them.
Tahleel holds degrees in Science and Economics. He has also studied Game Theory and The Economics of Money and Banking at the University of Edinburgh, and a MicroMasters in Data, Economics, and Public Policy from MIT. That mix of economics, data and public policy shapes the way he teaches.
