Correct Answer: Option C — 18:7
Step-by-Step Calculation
1. Determine the Time Duration for each person The total business period is 2 years, which is 24 months .Gautam: He started the business, so his money stayed for the full 24 months.
Jatin: He joined 8 months later. Therefore, his money stayed for 24 - 8 = {16 { months}}.

2. Calculate the "Investment x Time" product Gautam’s share factor:  60,000 x 24 Jatin’s share factor: 35,000 x 16

3. Find the Ratio
{Ratio} = {60,000 x 24}\{35,000 x 16}

First, simplify by canceling the zeros: {Ratio} = {60 x 24}{35 x 16}

Next, simplify the numbers:

Divide 60 and 35 by 5: {12 x 24}\{7 x 16}
Divide 24 and 16 by 8: {12 x 3}\{7 x 2}
Divide 12 and 2 by 2: {6 x 3} \ {7 x 1}

{Final Ratio} ={18} \ {7}
